My Story
I fell in love with Scentsy in 2009. I remember my very first scent I warmed! It was "Home, Sweet, Home!" It is still one of my favorites despite the fact that it is discontinued! Don't worry though! I have it in my CLUB. I was not familiar with direct selling other than my mom selling a few things. My mom signed up to be a consultant because she knew the quality of the product. She then encouraged me to sign up. She then ASKED ME to sign up! I was just married, young, and in college. I thought that I couldn't be a Scentsy Consultant because I was surrounded by broke college students! I gave many reasons why it wouldn't work. But my mom believed in me and helped me get off to a great start! I am so glad I joined! Being part of Scentsy has been life changing. If you ever have a chance to meet Orville and Heidi-the President and CEO of the company, (also husband and wife) you will understand why. They truly want to bring value to the world and teach a philosophy to give more than you take. Being a consultant has given the opportunity to better myself and gain more courage. I have earned TEN incentive trips and believe me- they were once in a lifetime trips! My husband and I joined my parents (mom also earned the trip) in Whistler, Canada! It was absolutely my most favorite trip that I have ever been on! We also met some lifelong friends on that trip!! I then earned the trip for two to Bahamas in 2014. It was beautiful and loads of fun! We took an all expense paid Cruise to Cozumel Mexico in January 2016. Mexico is perfect in January. I went solo to Disney World in June of 2016. Trying all the food was yummy! I went to the Hard Rock Dominican Republic in June 2017, soaked up LOTS of sun and made one of my best friends from being room mates! One of the most inspirational trips was to Europe in June 2018. We took a Mediterranean Cruise on the BIGGEST cruise ship in the world! We stopped in Spain, France and Italy!! It was an experience for all of my senses!! I earned my seventh incentive trip for two to Cancun Mexico in January 2019! Again- you can't go wrong with Mexico in January!! In June of 2019 I earned for two to Marco Island in Florida. It was the perfect relaxation trip and I loved hanging with our friends. In 2020 I earned the TOP 150 trip to Amsterdam but due to Covid we were not able to attend. For 2021 we could earn our family in to Disney World!!!! I was able to take my family to the "happiest place on Earth!" Ellie made so many fun memories!! WOW- I love traveling and Scentsy does it in the best way!!! To stop there would be leaving out a very important part of my Scentsy journey-the FRIENDSHIPS! Tim and I have met great people through Scentsy. We stay in contact regularly with them! We have vacationed with our friends that we have met through Scentsy and look forward to the meet ups when we can. Here is where my story looks a little different than others. In 2014 my Grandma was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer. She fought a courageous battle for 9 months before she passed away. During that time, Scentsy became a struggle for both my mom and I. I would be lying if I said anything different...everything was a struggle. My world was torn apart. I fell into a depression for 3 months. I wanted to earn the incentive trip for 2015 but my depression held me back. My mom and I talked, she decided she needed to step down as a leader because her heart was no longer in it and because she loved her team-she did not want to hurt them by not being the best leader she could be. It became my motivation to help me get out of my depression. April 2015 I officially took over as the team Director. We are a few years in and WOW have we grown as a team and as a group. SO many lives have been changed and I am so thankful for them. It has been a learning experience but such a blessing. My team/group are filled full of great people who are modeling the Scentsy core values. I am so thankful for this opportunity. Scentsy enriches our lives and I am GRATEFUL for that! Growing as a person and helping my team grow is the reason why I am here. I fully believe in the Scentsy Mission Statement and I love my business!
